Mr Robot is an American techno-series that airs on USA Network. It is one of the highest-rated shows on television with a whopping 8.5 rating on IMDb. Coming to ratings, Mr Robot’s fourth installment garnered a 0.12 rating on an average in the 18-49 demographic and 376,000 viewers. If compared to statistics of the third installment, it’s down by 47% and 29%, respectively. Let’s jump right into the details.
Will there be season 5 of Mr Robot?
The fourth installment ended in December 2019. Unfortunately, before the release of season four it was determined that this installment will be the final.
So, there is no season five for this show. We have seen this show gain audience and great ratings over the past few years. It was one of those shows which kept us hooked to the screens. It’s creator Sam Esmail also mentioned that initially, he thought this was going to be another niche show. However, it has not only gotten bigger and better, it has also touched stories above and beyond just the niche.

Why was Mr Robot canceled?
This show began in 2015 and just four years later, we saw the final episode. Although the fans would have loved nothing more than another season, the unfortunate news is that the show is not coming back. The creator of the show stated long back that he had the perfect ending in his mind from the beginning and he saw it coming together in season four. Hence, it had to end. The creator is also working on different shows now, so guess we will have to finally say goodbye to our favorite show.
Mr Robot Season 4 Recap: What happened in the finale?
It was the longest season in the history of this series. We saw how it drew connections with all the characters in the show. It mainly tackled how the current system could be changed. We saw how the characters who never had come across each other previously came together and sat to speak to each other.
We knew from the beginning that Elliot was actually dealing with social anxiety as well as depression. We saw him and his therapist talk about the deep-rooted issues he had. It was seen that he faced these issues because of his father. His father molested him when he was a child. We also saw Elliot and Darlene coming back to each other.
They shared a bond and it only got deepened with time. In the end, the characters were drawn away from the main plot. The focus was shifted to their character arc. All of them received their endings. There were many scenes between two characters just talking and it brought some sort of clarity on how both of them were different from each other.
Season four was everything we needed to get closure from the show. While after everything that we saw it became evident that this show had ended for good and there was no coming back from there.
