Strike the Blood initially known as ‘Sutoraiku za Buraddo’ is a Japanese fantasy action-anime series adapted from the light novel by the same name. The novel is written by Gakuto Mikumo and illustrated by Maynako which was then published on 10th May 2011. A year later, it was adapted as a manga series with its debut on June 27, 2012.

Because the series was garnering great popularity and received a lot of attention, it was made into an anime television series with the first season enrolling 24 episodes and premiering on October 4, 2013.

In 2015, an original video animation (OVA) released two special episodes titled “Strike the Blood: Valkyria no Oukoku-hen”. Furthermore, it was renewed for a second and a third season in November 2016 and late 2018 respectively. Now, let’s check if we’re lucky enough to get a fourth season or not.

STB Anime Plot: What is the show about?

In the southern Japanese island of Itogami, locates a monster and demon sanctuary. Kojou Akatsuki is an ordinary high-school student until his life takes a treacherous route when he is transferred to the powers of a very influential vampire.

He is hardly familiarised with his newly-found abilities when he is exposed to the public with his new identity of him being a Fourth Progenitor, an extremely powerful vampire who is considered as a legend by most of the people.

The news spreads like wildfire, causing the existing three ruling Progenitors to fear the destruction Kojou will do once he realizes his full potential. Therefore, they employ an organization named the Lion King Organization. The organization sends a rookie sword shaman, Yukina HImeragi.

She is further instructed to observe Kojou but kill him if he hints of any danger. However, Yukina gradually finds herself attracted to Kojou and develops romantic feelings. What will happen in Strike the Blood season 4?

Season three showed that The Kingdom of Sardinia was under attack while a celebration was held. Kojou was present as well since princess La Folia invited him. The fourth season might begin Kojou’s investigation of the attack and the motive behind it.

Moreover, we might witness Asagi Aliba (Kojou’s classmate) play her role as the Priestess of Cain and the twists she might bring to the story.
