Released on 27 November 2015 at 2100 screens in India, Sajid Nadiadwala’s production successfully made the business of Rs. 13.17 Cr as per the tweet of Taran Adarsh, “#Tamasha stays strong at plexes/metros. Witnesses 21% growth. Fri 10.87 cr, Sat 13.17 cr. Total: ₹ 24.04 cr. India biz.”
The Overseas BO report revealed that the movie collected $2.8 million i.e., 18.71 till Saturday which includes the major markets of USA-Canada – $ 1.13 million, UAE-GCC – $731k, Pakistan – $295 and the UK – $285k. These figures are confirmed by the tweet of trade analyst, Taran Adarsh.
Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the movie was registered to have 80% occupancy at single screens and multiplexes on the second day of release. The Saturday average occupancy was over 60% at most of the multiplexes of urban and metro cities of the country.
After surpassing the overseas collection of “Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani”, the movie reck Rs. 50 Cr at the worldwide level and it might cross the half century after collecting awesome amount on First Friday of release. This movie is also suggesting the expansion of marked of Bollywood Industry at international level.
