When the series came out in 2018, it garnered a lot of attention from people. The series took a different route than most of the other anime and stood out. Since the series has concluded, fans are curious to know when the series will release.

The show was renewed in 2019 and was initially set to be released in October of 2020. Although after the announcement was made, things around the world changed. It was announced later that the show is being pushed due to the coronavirus.
According to the new date, the series is now set to be released in early 2021. It is going to be released in a split-cour manner. The first part of the series will come out in January 2021 and the second part will come out in July 2021. So far, the exact date of the release has not been mentioned. The first season covered four volumes of the light novel series. If we are to guess season two may cover-up at least the next four volumes of the book. Season two will likely focus on the feud between Hinata and Rimuru.
Volume five of the light novel series suggests that Demon Lord Milim declares war on a kingdom that is near Rimuru and the Jura Forest Alliance. To settle things Rimuru will have to take a step. The price of becoming a Demon Lord is 10,000 souls. Will he become the Demon Lord?
It will be interesting to see where this plot will proceed from here. The anime has had a habit of going at a slower pace and exploring the lives of each character before they kill them which is unique. It is said that the anime has done a better job of portraying the series than the light novel series. So it goes without saying that the second season will go at the same pace without skipping any chapters.
Nevertheless, this all is just a beginning and it will eventually bring more epic battle scenes between demons and angels. Hopefully, we will get to see the villain who wants to unify the world as one and then direct it towards destruction.

In the Japanese version we may see Miho Okasaki as Rimuru, Megumi Toyoguchi as Great Sage, Chikahiro Kobayashi as Ranga, Tomoaki Maeno as Veldora, Takahiro Sakurai as Diablo and Rina Hidaka as Lord Milim.
In the English version, we may see Brittney Karbowski as Rimuri, Mallorie Rodak as Great Sage, Tyson Rinehart as Ranga, Chris Rager as Veldora, Daman Mills as Diablo and Kristen McGuire as Lord Milim.
