The Witcher season 2 plot: What will happen next?
The first season was adapted from The Last Wish collection of short stories. We are expecting the second season to have various plot threads picked from a number of different Witcher books. The upcoming episodes could be similar as of the first batch. Hissrich said that the next installment will be more intense.
The first season was more of building block – constructing the world, setting up the characters, putting them on paths, and knocking dominoes over. The expected things will start falling in place such as characters will start meeting each other, all the different kingdoms will start rising o the surface.
So, the storytelling will become kinda intense, and maybe more focused to the journeys that makers will tell. We can just hope that they don’t exhaust all the material at once. Hissrich hinted that the show could have a total of seven seasons. The showrunner seemed excited about the series.
We would expect to see the overall future timeline to be less confusing. It was an issue in the first batch of episodes. Hissrish has said that it would be rectified in the coming seasons. According to her, the narrative structure was such that it focused on Geralt. As the stories of Ciri and Yennefer would start to converge, they need to do something better.
Hissrich said that they will pick up right from where the first one ended. The story-telling will have a much more linear fashion. All three won’t be in a single story as it’s not possible all three are together and happy all the time. Hissrich said that she didn’t think it to become one of the most hotly-contested aspects of the show.
