Orlando Bloom starring ‘Carnival Row’ is coming back with another season. The part that is so relatable in this show is the way it has been set in the Victorian era yet it talks about the social issues we know of right now. It has intrigued people and had them hooked on the show until the very last episode.

The first installment concluded in 2019 and the announcement of the second season was made way before the first installment came out. So luckily, we will be seeing more of Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne. Let’s find out what is in store for us.

When will Carnival Row season 2 release? Premiere Date

The show was set to be released in 2020 itself. However, when the Covid-19 outbreak hit the world and various cities went under lockdown. This show wasn’t an exception, it was being shot in Prague and the shoot had to stop. Since then the shoot has been on a halt. Cara mentioned that the show is going to be good without any doubt.

However, she also mentioned for the shoot to happen it has to be cold and snowy. So, it is still unclear when the shoot will be finished. With the production being on halt, it looks like the wait is going to be a little longer than expected.

She also mentioned that they finished filming six episodes out of eight so only a little work is left. So if we take guesses we might get to see the show in mid-2021.

What is the plot of Carnival Row season 2?

In season two, we saw that Philo was investigating Darkasher killings. He also found out that he is a fae. He found himself connected to the people behind the killing, he realized that Chancellor Absalom Breakspear is his father. Being half-fae – half human made him torn between two worlds.

In the end, the war was declared by Jonah Breakspear. When Philo saw Vignette on the other side of the barricade, he joined her and his fae crew. The show is likely going to revolve around the fact that Philo joined Vignette and because of it he has given up his badge. (check: ‘Made in Abyss’ Season 2.)

The second installment is going to be more about fae’s fight for liberation against a new alliance which is formed by Jonah Breakspear and Sophie Longerbane. On the other hand, Imogen Spurnrose and Sophie Longerbane run away after a violent disagreement between them and Ezra. They will have to deal with the fallout and the war that is going on.

With so much going on we will wait to see what happens next and whether Philo will go back to investigating crime mysteries. Let us know what you think will happen to our characters?
