We often come across a lot of stories and news where we see celebrities donating money. However, Thanks A Million is this particular show that came out in April 2020. We saw how different celebrities went on to donate a whopping amount of $100000 to an individual who has had a positive impact on their life.
And from there that individual has to give half of the amount to someone else who has had a positive impact on their life. The show received 8 out of 10 on IMBd. Its executive producer is Jennifer Lopez. Now the question is will there be a season 2 of Thanks A Million or not? Well, let’s jump into the details and get the latest update of the show.
Will there be a Thanks A Million season 2?
If you loved this show and wanted to know will there be another installment for this show? Here is the update. Well, this show has been renewed for another season by Quibi. (check: Netflix’s Orange Is The New Black (OITNB) Has Been Canceled: Won’t Return For Season 8.)
Who will come to host Thanks A Million in season 2?
In the freshman installment, we saw how different A-list stars came on the show. Like Lopez, Kristen Bell, Nick Jonas, Tracy Morgan, Aaron Rodgers, Yara Shahidi, Gabriel Iglesias, Anthony Davis, Kevin Hart, and Karlie Kloss. We aren’t sure who will be featuring in the second season yet.
However, it looks like there are going to be more A-list actors. The runtime for the show is around 10 minutes and we see how quickly the episodes proceed. It is safe to say that the show has a good pace. However, some people complained about it being too quick. Although they loved what was happening in the show.
What is the plot?
This is more of a reality show than anything else. We know what the purpose of the show is so the show will be focused on its aim. In season one, we saw all the A-list start going into other people’s houses and give them money and it gets passed on to other people along the way. The money is given to a person they think has had the most impact on their lives.
It also became one of the biggest hits on screen. We saw how Lopez gave money to a mother who struggled to raise her daughter with cerebral palsy. Hart went on to give the money to the hospital staff that saved his life from a car crash. Rodgers gave the money to their life coach and we saw Shahidi give the money to the charitable foundation founded by the parents of her late friend, actor Cameron Boyce.
What will be interesting to see in the next installment is which A-list actors come along to show us what they are grateful for. In this show, we got to see another side of these actors. In a way, this show has done an overall good job of showing gratitude to people. We are hoping to see maybe some more A-star celebs. It is not sure as of now who will be in the show.
Do Celebrities give money from their pocket?
This has been one of the most speculated topics and people wanted to know if the money was being given by the celebrities themselves. However, it is seen that the money comes by ponying cash by Jeffrey Katzenberg and the ThanksAMillion production team. However, it is still a good effort put in by the creator of this show.
