Workin’ Moms Season 5: It’s a piece of good news that CBC’s Canadian tv series based on working mothers has been renewed for a fifth installment. Catherine Reitman is both the creator and one of its cast members. The show is a breath of fresh air, and features the trials and tribulations of four women. (check: Pirates of the Caribbean 6.)
Reitman revealed the news for the fifth run on talk show ‘What’re You at With Tom Power’. On April 15, 2020, she said that the green-light came during social distancing, so writers will be working from home. So, it seems that writing has already been finished. But, there’s no news when CBC will start airing the new episodes.
When will Workin’ Moms season 5 release (date)? Premiere
Going by its past release schedule, each installment of the series has started airing in the first quarter of the year. After that, it was made available on Netflix. As of May 2020, we already know that writers have started writing the script.
The fourth season released on CBC in February 2020. Its filming started in July 2019. But, this year is turning out to be very different from the previous ones. It’s because of the coronavirus pandemic. So, we must expect delay in filming for the upcoming season as it won’t likely start in July 2020. However, the fans residing in the USA can expect it to come out to Netflix in spring or summer 2021.

The last installment of the show brought up some characters very well. However, it went kinda bad for others. Kate Foster handled tough situations very well, for example at work with her former flame, Mike Bolinski. In the end, Foster choosing her husband Nathan over Mike turned out to be the right decision.
In the meantime, Anne Carlson learned how to handle and keep up with his daughter. Initially, it was like a war with her. She even ended up writing a book which her agent loved. It is an unfortunate piece of news that Anne and her family will move to another city due to the financial crisis.
Also, Jenny Matthews was featured starting a revolution when she found out that women in her office are paid less than men. However, she was later scolded for taking hush money. But, she managed to handle the situation with the management, but in doing so, she may now have an affair.
Frankie Coyne will enjoy motherhood once again as Bianca asked her to be the ‘other mom’ to her baby. In season 4, Frankie revealed to Bianca that her sperm donor was a con artist.
