Everyone might have heard about the renowned Japanese sports anime series called Yuri!!! on Ice. Now, since its completion in December 2016, it is looked forward to for a season 2 by the fans across the globe. Today, we’re here to provide you with the details you’re looking for a possible new installment if it is happening. So let’s get started.

To summarize the plot, in short, it is the tale of three-figure skating guys: Yuri Katsuki (Yuri K), Viktor Nikiforov, and Yuri Plisetsky (Yuri P). When Yuri K loses in the final of Figure Skating Grand Prix, he decides to rest his skating career. Still, he is soon surprised when the upcoming champion skater and his idol, Viktor Nikiforov guides him with his mentorship.

On the other hand, Yuri P is also a Russian skater who wants to be mentored by Viktor. Yuri K and Yuri P then take a face-off challenge to win Viktor’s mentorship, the challenge results in Yuri K winning with the mentorship. Amidst all, Yuri K and Viktor get attract towards each other and build a relationship and finally end up being engaged.

Will there be a season 2 of Yuri on Ice?

2016 seems like forever now. The fans of Yuri on Ice are awaiting the second season dearly. As much as we want a clear notice of the new season’s confirmation, we do not have one yet.

However, what we do have is a statement from Sayo Yamamoto (the creator) in an interview with Otaquest, “I truly feel like the story of ‘Yuri!!! on ICE’ was able to be summed up throughout its 12 episodes, but I’d be lying if I said that it was over. [Laughs] … We can’t stop, we won’t stop, we refuse to stop!”

We believe that this is concrete enough to say that we will be provided with season 2 although it might take some time. (check: Epix’s Pennyworth Season 2 Release Date, Cast, Trailer, Episodes, Plot and All Updates So Far.)

What is Ice Adolescence?

Ice Adolescence is a feature film of the same genre and possibly the same characters (at least, some of them). It is said to be a prequel that will heed Viktor’s life in his early career of figure skating and how he rose to fame. There is not a lot of information available about the film, but it is supposed to release before the second season of Yuri on Ice.

If we come to the film’s launch, it was intended to release in 2019, but it didn’t. Amid the global pandemic and lockdown, it is a little doubtful for the movie to come on screens because of good health and safety reasons. But we could expect the film in 2012, and hopefully, the wait will be worth it.

Yuri On Ice Season 2 Plot: What will happen?

The details are uncertain, but we should expect Yuri K and Viktor to explore their newly found love and relationship while balancing with their careers. Also, the two figure skaters might have to face each other in competitions since Viktor will now resume his career.

We will also see Yuri P since he last won at the Figure Skating Grand Prix and continuing his rivalry with Yuri K. All in all, it’s going to be packed with emotions and excitement. (check: HBO’s The Outsider Season 2 Release Date, Cast, Trailer, Episodes, Plot and All Other Updates So Far.)
