Lord Marksman and Vanadis is a Japanese native anime television series known as ‘Madan no Ou to Vanadis’ in the home country. The series was adapted from the famous light novel of the same name. The first and only season came out in 2014, almost six years ago, yet there’s no sign for a second season. In this section, we’re trying to evaluate if and when we’re getting another season, so let’s begin.
The war anime is listed among one of the most loved anime series because of the vast genres and storylines it explores even though it is a little weak at some point because it wasn’t a great success amidst the critics.
Lords Marksman and Vanadis Season 2 Release Date
Six years ago, season one of the anime series made its debut on October 4, 2014. With a total of thirteen episodes, it ran until December 27, 2014. After the first season ended, there was no news of renewal, and it’s been a long time. The possibility of a continuation seems a little unreal at this point.
Still, we’re always allowed to have hopes and dreams. Therefore, a thin line of expectation says that if the series comes to life, then 2021 will be the lucky year. Still, time will tell. For now, it has neither been confirmed nor canceled.
What’s the plot of Madan no Ou to Vanadis?
In a fictional alter version of Europe, Brune’s kingdom suffers two of its Dukes in the middle of a war to gain more power over the kingdom. However, Zhcted, Brune’s rival who takes advantage of the dispute to conquer the land.
Zhcted sends their best war maiden Eleonora Viltaria aka Elen, to the battlefield who later returns victorious. Moreover, she decides to spare Tigrevurmud Vorn’s (Tigre) life seeing his credibility and integrity in the battle, which eventually becomes accomplices.
Lords Marksman and Vanadis Characters
The two main protagonists are Eleonora Viltaria and Tigrevurmud Vorn. Both of these people are quite similar in terms of their principles and loyalty for their people. Elen is a beautiful young woman with blood-red eyes and waist-length white-grey hair. She is devoted to her kingdom and vows to protect her people anyhow. She loves to be around people whenever she has time, but, at the same time, is a great warrior.
On the other hand, Tigre, the hazel-eyed well-built teenager, was the Earl in Alsace’s home country before he was defeated by Elen in the battle and came to her country. The red-haired guy cares more about the people and his relationships more than he cares for the authorities and is quite similar to Elen since they believe in the same principles and have the same values. The two are also shown to fall in love with passing time.
If we had another season, we could’ve seen more of this new couple and hat new problems they might face together.
